Use Bandloop with AI

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or your code editor to Bandloop, then just ask. It builds setlists from your real songs, adds gigs and holds, and looks things up across your bands. Free on every plan.

Connector URL

https://www.bandloop.net/api/mcp

Copy this. Every app below asks for it. You'll sign in with the same Google or Apple account you use for Bandloop.

Set it up

  1. Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)

    1. Open Customize → Connectors.
    2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
    3. Name it Bandloop, paste the connector URL, and click Continue.
    4. Leave sign-in on Sign in now, click Add, and sign in to Bandloop.
    5. In a chat, click + → Connectors and turn Bandloop on.

Works on the free plan too (one custom connector). Once added, it also works in the Claude mobile app.

  2. ChatGPT

    1. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins.
    2. Click +, then Add custom MCP server.
    3. Name it Bandloop and paste the connector URL under Connection.
    4. Choose OAuth sign-in, accept the warning, then Create, and sign in to Bandloop.
    5. In a chat, type @ and pick Bandloop.

Custom servers depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings. Some plans allow only read actions.

  3. Cursor, VS Code and other MCP apps

    1. Add a remote (HTTP) MCP server named bandloop with the connector URL.
    2. You'll be asked to sign in to Bandloop the first time it's used.
  4. Claude Code

    1. In your terminal, run:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user bandloop https://www.bandloop.net/api/mcp
    2. Start Claude Code, run /mcp, pick bandloop, and sign in to Bandloop in the browser that opens.
    3. Ask away. It works in any folder.

Things to ask

  • “Build a 2-set, 90-minute setlist for Friday from songs we haven't played in a month. Open with something upbeat.”
  • “Here's the booking email from the Rellik Tavern. Add it as a gig with the load-in and pay they quoted.”
  • “Hold March 14 and 21 at Retro Junkie for Pop Fury.”
  • “Which of our songs are in Drop D? Group them so I'm not retuning mid-set.”
  • “Who still hasn't been paid for October?”
  • “Add these 12 songs to our catalog: (paste a list)”

What it can do

  • ✓ Read your songs (keys, tunings, BPM, play history), setlists, gigs, venues and pay
  • ✓ Create and edit setlists, gigs, holds, songs and venues
  • ✓ Draft booking pitches for you to review and send from Bandloop
  • ✗ It can't delete anything, send email, or touch billing

It acts as you, so it sees only your bands, with the same permissions you have in the app. Edited a setlist by mistake? Its earlier version is in the setlist's history.
