Bandloop vs BandMGT

A BandMGT alternative
that comes to the gig

BandMGT and Bandloop cover a lot of the same ground: setlists, a shared calendar, and splitting the money, with a free plan and a cheap per-band Pro. The difference is the stage. Bandloop puts the lyrics, your chord notes, and the setlist on a teleprompter, and it ships as a real iPhone app.

Built for the stage, not just the office

Most band apps stop at the plan. Bandloop keeps going: open the setlist at the gig and every song has its key, tuning, and BPM, a lyrics teleprompter that scrolls with you, and the chord notes you wrote yourself. Then mark the gig paid and split it — on the web or in the iPhone app.

Where BandMGT may fit better

BandMGT leans into planning tools: member blackout dates so you know who's free before you book, and AI-driven setlist and venue insights on Pro. If availability tracking across a big lineup is your main headache, it's worth a look. Bandloop puts more of its weight on the night itself — the setlist on stage, the lyrics, and the pay afterward.

Common questions
Is Bandloop free like BandMGT?+

Yes. Both have a free plan. Bandloop's free plan covers your song library, setlists (up to four at a time), gigs, venues, the teleprompter, and your whole band with no member cap. Pro is $7/month per band and adds the pay split, unlimited setlists, full gig history, setlist PDFs, and Google Calendar sync. BandMGT's Pro is $8/month per band.

Does Bandloop have a mobile app?+

Yes — Bandloop is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and the Android app is in beta. Everything syncs with the web app. BandMGT runs in the browser and is built to work well on a phone, but it doesn't list a native app.

Can I import my songs from BandMGT or a spreadsheet?+

Yes. Paste a list of songs — or rows straight from Google Sheets or Excel — and Bandloop matches each one to the real recording, filling in artist, length, and BPM so you don't type it all again.
